We’ve basically done nothing fun all summer-nothing fun at all.
Instead, we’re driving home and the kids are both crying 😭. I expected they would be swimming until bedtime (while my husband and I took turns gambling). But we’re not going stay at the hotel with absolutely nothing to do but sit in the tiny room all night. The kids were SO excited to swim and sleep at the hotel. So disappointing! I went up to the front desk to tell the lady how disappointing it was and she could care less.
Then they got dressed and now we’re driving back home. I couldn’t find any information about the pool online so we had no idea. The guy working in the pool area says they have five minutes to swim because starting at 6 PM, the pool is for adults only. We checked into the hotel at 5:30 PM so they could spend the evening swimming. I remembered that I had a free hotel room at the casino and my kids love to swim.
My husband is a deputy sheriff and I’m a teacher. We had a lot of bad, expensive things happen (loss of job, car accident, surgery, etc) and we had no vacation budget.
